Mercury v2 is available

Mercury v2 is available today.
What Mercury is
Mercury is what we call live mission assurance. A small team operating five to twenty satellites keeps its procedures in flowcharts and its history in the memory of whoever is on console. Mercury turns that knowledge into something that runs: continuously, on the telemetry the fleet already downlinks, returning not a parameter outside a band but what happened, in what context, and what to do about it.
What is new in v2
Procedures become executable. The reasoning an experienced engineer applies, look at the average over the last few orbits, check a second signal before concluding anything, discount readings while the system settles after a reconfiguration, does not fit in a limit checker, which looks at one parameter at a time. In v2 an operations team can express that reasoning directly, build it visually, and change it without writing code or waiting for a release.
One event instead of several alerts. Signals that belong to the same situation are brought together into a single event, with the context it occurred in and a recommended action attached. Mercury proposes. The operations team decides.
Every event explains itself. An event carries the reasoning that produced it, so answering “why did this fire” does not mean reading code.
Where it runs
Mercury runs on the operator’s own infrastructure, in their cloud or on premises, including air-gapped installations. Nothing about the fleet leaves the perimeter. It sits on top of the mission control system already in use and returns its results inside it.
Seeing it work
Mercury v2 will be at Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen, 17 to 19 November. We will be running demonstrations on request across the three days, and online for anyone not travelling.
We will also be announcing a new partnership on 10 November with a leading global provider of advanced space services. Mercury v2 is integrated into their mission control system, and we will be demonstrating it live at their stand in Bremen.
