Intella officially joins ESA BIC Milan accelerator
Milan - Italy, 22 April 2026
Intella proudly announces its official selection into ESA BIC Milan, the startup incubation program supported by the European Space Agency (ESA) and dedicated to fostering high-potential space-related innovations.
ESA BIC Milan is part of the broader ESA Business Incubation Centres (ESA BIC) network, the largest ecosystem in Europe for startups leveraging space technologies. The program supports entrepreneurs in transforming innovative ideas into successful businesses by providing technical expertise, business development support, and access to a global network of partners.
Managed by PoliHub in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano and supported by ESA, the Italian Space Agency (ASI), and Regione Lombardia, ESA BIC Milan is designed to accelerate the growth of startups that utilize space technologies, satellite data, or related innovations across multiple industries.
Intella’s admission into ESA BIC Milan marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth journey and reinforces its mission to enable scalable satellite operations through mission intelligence software. As satellite fleets grow, operational complexity doesn’t just increase - it erodes situational awareness, as routine monitoring and signal noise begin to outpace human attention. Intella addresses this challenge through Mercury™, an operational intelligence layer that sits on top of existing ground systems, continuously processing telemetry and operational signals, structuring workflows, and transforming fragmented data into clear, actionable events.
By preserving operator awareness and reducing routine workload, Intella enables teams to scale mission-critical operations without increasing risk or operational burden.
Through the ESA BIC Milan program, Intella will benefit from a tailored incubation path, including technical and scientific support, strategic mentoring, access to industry experts, and funding opportunities—further accelerating the development and deployment of its technology within the space ecosystem.
““Joining ESA BIC Milan is a strong validation of our vision and the technological value we are building at Intella,” said Andrea Aguzzo, CEO of Intella. “We are building the intelligence layer for satellite operations—preserving situational awareness as systems scale and complexity grows. This opportunity allows us to accelerate our development, scale our solutions globally, and collaborate with a world-class network of partners and innovators.””
With this milestone, Intella strengthens its position at the intersection of AI and space operations, contributing to a new generation of more autonomous, resilient, and scalable satellite systems.
