A New Chapter for Intella
Leadership updates to power Mercury’s next phase
Milan, Italy - April 2026
Intella, the company behind Mercury, the mission intelligence software for scalable satellite operations, announces a leadership restructuring to support its next phase of commercial growth, product development, and investor engagement.
Andrea Guzzo, Intella's co-founder and former CTO, assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer. Andrea brings over 10 years of experience in AI development, MLOps, and product leadership, having built and led the AI Division at MDPI, one of the world's largest open-access scientific publishers. As CEO, Andrea will drive Intella's business strategy, investor relations, and go-to-market execution, while continuing to oversee Mercury's product vision, bridging the company's deep technical foundations with the commercial and financial leadership required to scale.
Daniele Bellomi is appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Daniele has led Intella's business development efforts and now takes full ownership of commercial strategy, partnerships, and customer acquisition. Previously a Senior Innovation & Technology Advisor at NTT DATA, one of the world's largest IT services companies, Daniele generated over €1M in revenue from LLM-based projects and drove an additional €1M+ in custom AI model engagements at Moxoff. His proven track record in enterprise sales, AI go-to-market strategy, and value proposition design positions Intella for accelerated commercial traction.
Ionut Tanasa assumes the role of Chief Technology Officer ad Interim. Over the past two years at Intella, Ionut has been the architect behind Mercury's platform infrastructure. With 10+ years of experience designing scalable cloud systems and distributed architectures for enterprise clients, including Volkswagen, Autostrade, and Movyon, and deep expertise in compliance, governance, and security-by-design, Ionut will lead Mercury's technical roadmap as the platform scales to production across multiple operators.
Francesco Vitacca joins as Fractional CFO. A Bocconi-educated finance professional, Francesco brings hands-on experience in VC-backed startups, having served as Finance Manager at Kampaay through its Series A and exit, and as CFO at NoleggioEnergia. He will manage Intella's financial planning, investor reporting, and capital strategy as the company advances its €2M seed round.
Intella also thanks Michael Hepler for his significant contributions as Intella's CEO over the past two years. Michael has been instrumental in shaping Intella's strategic direction and market positioning. With over 10 years in the space industry, including Business Development at Firefly Aerospace, Michael transitions to the role of Business Advisor, where he will continue to support Intella's go-to-market strategy and US market entry efforts.
Together, these appointments reflect Intella's focus on scaling Mercury as the mission intelligence layer for infrastructure-grade satellite operations and on delivering measurable operational value to the operators and partners who depend on it.
